SavingMinutes can run on any ASP.NET 1.1 enabled web server. It can run on a shared hosting account, like one you could get at Go Daddy or 1&1, and it can run on a dedicated server. We recommend that you install SavingMinutes on an in-house Windows web server.

Dedicated Web Server

This is the best option because it will afford you the most control over your web server which will save you time. The dedicated web server must be a Windows server that has ASP.NET 1.1 enabled and is running Internet Information Services or an equivilant web server.

Before installing, simply ask the server administrator to create a new website or virtual directory and to provide you with access information. Also, ask your administrator about securing your data with SSL.

Shared Hosting Account

When selecting a host, ensure that you will have the following features:

1. Modify file/folder permissions. (you may need to modify file permissions when installing SavingMinutes).
2. Secure Socket Layers Certificate (for security).
3. FTP Upload/Download rights.

Before installing SavingMinutes, sign up for a hosting account with SSL and upload a test web page.
